Well lucky you then that I saw your comment anyway.

I ended up not continuing playing the game after all so the whole site project kindda died.

But there most certainly was a mousepad in the collectors edition itself. However I think that the mousepad was only part of the european collectors edition and not the US one, I think that might explain your situation.

Was hard to find a reference for it, but on “http://pc.gamezone.com/gamesell/p35019.htm” I found confirmation as they write:

“EUROPEAN EXCLUSIVE - MOUSEPAD
Only for European purchasers, a unique gaming mousepad will be available in the Collector’s Edition. “

I know that your post about the collectors edition mousepad is well over a year old, but I just saw the post today.

I have the collectors edition of Warhammer Online, purchased and opened and installed back in September 2008. I don’t recall there being a mousepad of any kind in the box. So I just took the dusty CE box off my shelf and gave it a thorough inspection, even removing the little tray that holds the contents of the box so that I could see underneath it. And sure enough, no mousepad.

So I’m curious, what is this mousepad you are referring to? Was it perhaps a promotional item from GameStop or some other select retailer? I’m certain that the generic vanilla collector’s edition did not come with a mousepad, so your blog posting has me somewhat scratching my head.

That will teach me. I peeled the “peel me” flap off without removing the plastic on the backside… I just brought it out again from the box and will now give it a second chance.

On the case it Guarantee’s open beta access. I payed & brought the collectors edition.

If it was not promised open beta access i would have paid less & got a copy on launch..

I did not pay the extra to test a key acctivation page on a faulty website….
